Hello beautiful! Welcome back to the blog! Today, I have some super exciting news that I just couldn’t wait to share with you all…
I just invested in my first DSLR camera! Woot woot! Cue excited squeal! The camera is a Nikon D5500, and I am head-over-heels in love.
As I just said, this is my first DSLR camera. Believe it or not, all of my blog pics so far have been taken using my little Sony point-and-shoot camera.Honestly, I don’t totally hate the quality of my pictures; seriously, cameras have improved so much over the years! Most of the time I still use my iPhone to take pictures, and their quality is great too. But I know I can do so much more. I LOVE taking pictures, and I really wonder why I haven’t made this investment towards better quality pictures sooner. With the direction Hello Beautiful World is going, and my desire to show off all the beautiful places in the world to you, I decided that there is no better time than the present to invest in my dreams.
I still have so much to learn about this camera. I want to use it to its full potential, and I’m sure that will take lots of time and practice. So far, my favorite subjects have included: my dining room table, my husband, and my planner. I still feel a little awkward going out into the world and acting like “a photographer”, but I have a feeling I’ll quickly get over that fear.
This is a post solely dedicated to some of my favorite experimental pictures so far. I just really wanted you all to see (because I’m just that excited). I also wanted to call in some advice from the experts, so if you have any words of wisdom, please please share it in the comments below!
